Last season, Dele Alli, Hector Bellerin, Eric Dier, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford were some of the players in the under 21 category who has a stellar season. Bellerin was in the team of the season, Alli won the young player of the year award and Rashford was a late incoming to the England Euro squad, but we won't get into that. But anyway who will be the next bunch to come into play, I take a look at who you can expect to see getting into the first team and make a name for themselves this coming season.

Leroy Sane

The German winger came into the Premier League this summer from Schalke, in Gelsenkirchen, to come to Macnchester City to play under Pep Guardiola. He may have commanded a hefty fee but he is still in need of proving himself, he hasn't played a huge amount of games but over the last 18 months he has really established himself in Germany. He announced himself on a huge stage when smashed a long range effort in against Real Madrid in the Champions League during the 2014/15 season, but last season was where he became a more important player to the German side, scoring eight goals and also making eight assists, but everyone will tell you the Premier League is different. He still needs work to perfect certain areas such as taking more players on and becoming a more influential attacking outlet but if anyone can make him a more effective player, it's Pep.

Daniel Amartey

The defensively minded player was signed in January to add some depth and youth to the Leicester City side, but was not used an awful lot, most deployed as a substitute. This season could see him play more, with his versatility making him a useful player in the foxes side. He can play at full-back, centre-half, as a holding midfielder, or as a centre-midfielder, so even if he is not a starter straight away, he could be used in most games as a sub in a whole host of positions. So this could certainly be the season we see him produce good performances and see his minutes increased considerably.

James Ward-Prowse

He may be a well-known player already but he is yet to have a breakthrough season and really push to be a standout star in the Southampton side. His ability from dead-ball situations, such as corners and free-kicks give him the ability to get assists and goals and it is hard to see what he needs to really get going. But this season he could be deployed as an inside forward or just behind the striker as a number 10. This could see him get more goals and really show his worth, I feel if he has more trust put in his he could be a vital player for the saints, and with not many attacking signings arriving to the south-coast so far, this could be his season.

Demarai Gray

The young winger had enjoyed a good year or so in the championship with Birmingham City when Leicester came calling. He had been looking to get into the Premier League when a number of successful performances finally found him at the feet of Claudio Ranieri, and on his first appearance in an FA Cup tie against Spurs, he impressed largely. He earned himself a few games here and there and eventually earned himself the 10 appearances to get himself a Premier League medal, albeit, mostly from the bench. This season could see him replace Marc Albrighton, or Riyad Mahrez, if the Algerian leaves. He is a more agile and skillful player than Albrighton and that could see him feature in a defending champions side as he could have a bright future if given the correct opportunities, and if he works on what he needs to, he isn't the biggest guy so maybe he is slightly lightweight but once he starts becoming a more complete player, he has the ability to take the league by storm.

Bertrand Traore

The forward is turning 21 next month and this could be the season where a few Chelsea youngsters finally get given their chance. The Chelsea fans have been saying recently that they don't need to re-sign Romelu Lukaku because they have this kid. He needs to be making a statement this season though and he showed glimpses of his talent in the FA Cup and in a couple of league games under Guus Hiddink. He can play on the wing or up top too so even if he is not a fist choice player he can still make a name for himself in other areas, but I can see him featuring up front. Chelsea seem to be off-loading Loic Remy this summer and Diego Costa's future could be in doubt and if they want to play a 3-5-2 then he could be the first choice sub or even starting. They also have Dominic Solanke but he could be too young yet and could do with a loan in the Premier League or championship, or even just a season in the under 21's. But Traore could be the answer to Chelsea's trouble and give them that something special in attack.
